Students are required to attend class for a lecture and then write a short reflection of at least 350 words (due in class on October 25) that integrates the disciplines of philosophy and political science on the broad question of ethical/political norms and community. In an effort to show students connections between disparate disciplines, our class will host a talk in October by Dr. Vidya Nadkarni from the department of Political Science. After attending Dr. Nadkarni’s lecture, students are required to write a reflection that compares how political science and philosophy address similar questions related to ethical/political norms and community.
