When I think of sculptures the first one that always come to mind first would have to be of Atlas.
Atlas has many different versions of the sculpture, however he is more than often displayed with the world on his back. Just like the many various sculptures, there are various stories of what this sculptures represent and came to be. The most common story being that Atlas a titan was condemned to hold the weight of the heavens as punishment for leading theTitans against the Olympians. Another story famed for his presence is of Hercules and his twelve labours. Where Hercules tricks Atlas into stealing golden apples from the garden of Hera.
