A marketing tool I would like to discuss is the tool of using keywords. Keywords are very important and necessary for a firm to accurately market on social media. Keyword search marketing allows a firm to get really specific with their marketing practices.

To be more specific, conducting keyword research for social media enables you to discover the needs and wants of social communities by:

  • Tracking popular and trending topics on Twitter and other social networks
  • Determining search query frequency
  • Gauging market interest for products or services
  • Identifying demand for keywords
  • Better understanding user intent
  • Discovering relevant points of engagement (WordStream, 2020).

Hello Class,

The social media marketing tool I chose for this discussion is Find Relevant Keywords. Keywords are very important on social media if you are looking for your posts to be easily accessible. The more specific the keyword is, the better. Specific keywords increase the likelihood of a post being found if sought out for. Using specific keywords in posts regularly will cause followers who post about a firm to adopt those same keywords. This as a result will make it that much easier for a firm to find posts of interest. This tool is similar to the single platform tool, Mention, as listed in the textbook. Facebook mentions work similar to a hashtag and can centralize all posts containing the keyword in one thread. These tools can be helpful for a firm trying to improve their social listening and engage with their followers. You need input from your followers to determine the markets needs since they are they one keeping the business alive.
