QUESTION: Control Strategies
There are multiple control strategies that can be pursued for an arboviral disease such as Dengue. Please reflect on the different control strategies that are available for Dengue by listing and detailing some of these methods of control (no less than 3 methods).
 
Choose an area of the world where Dengue is endemic and indicate what level of control you are aiming to achieve. Then, design an integrated control plan that utilizes several of the control methods that you have listed. Please explain why you have chosen these control methods, how you would coordinate with various stakeholders, and what challenging factors you will need to consider for the implementation of your chosen control strategy.
 
Think through these questions while formulating your response: How do we engage at-risk populations? What public health communication strategies may be needed? Are there notable controversies with some of your chosen control methods? How intense would surveillance efforts need to be upon follow up and where should they be focused? What would success look like and what metrics could be used to measure success?
